Chapter 4
CONFISCATION ORDERS IN THE MAGISTRATES' AND CROWN COURTS
Preliminary Matters
This Chapter deals with the powers and the procedures for making confiscation Orders in the Magistrate's Court and Crown Court. This should not be confused with the Magistrates' jurisdiction to seize cash which is dealt with elsewhere. The POCA has been in force since 2003. There transitional provisions which deal with the legislation in force prior to POCA but such matters are largely academic now and so they have been consigned to the Appendices
